What Light is Light

Semi-autobiographical, ‘What Light is Light. . .’ is a haunting and provocative set of poems in which Doug explores the ephemeral nature of the universe and the acute temporality that governs our being. In this soft, lyrical sequence, Doug ponders on loss and the frailty that hovers over us as we move from one stage of lives to the other. Here we are taken on a journey – from light to darkness; from love to death. In the bleakness of our lives, only the scattering of hope in the human spirit guides us.
